Diogo Soares
I am a first year Master's student in the Department of Computer Science in the School of Computation, Information and Technology at Technical University of Munich.
Last semester, I was a visiting student in the Computer Science department at Carnegie Mellon University, advised by Professors David Garlan and Paolo Romano.
In 2021/2022, I visited EPFL as a Master's Student in Computer Science. In 2021, I earned a BSc in Computer Science from Instituto Superior Técnico, where I did research on quantum backtracking applied to CSPs under the supervision of Professor Rui Abreu.
In the past, I have worked at AWS as a software development engineer and at VoiceLine as a natural language processing researcher.
My research interests lie in the fields of Machine Learning and Quantum Computing.
In particular, I am interested in theoretical machine learning, quantum machine learning and quantum optimization.
At present, I am most enthused about the advances in shift estimation and performance prediction for unlabeled datasets.
